Dear Evergreen Family:
Are your relationships at home changing? I wouldn’t be surprised at all. In fact, I’d be surprised if they weren’t changing. The past six months (wow, it’s been six months) have changed a lot of things, but the thing perhaps most changed is the shape of the relationships in our own home. We’ve learned new things about each other and helped each other. We’ve needed to make compromises. We’ve grown closer. We’ve drifted farther apart. We’ve discovered new things we have in common. We’ve discovered differences we didn’t know we had.
How are we doing with all this? If I had to give myself a grade, I’d maybe give myself a B– or a C+. No one prepared us. No one told us this was coming. We can’t do it all over again, but we can get a handle on how to do this going forward.
There’s actually a section in the book of Galatians that can pretty quickly shine light and give us clarity on this six-month tea cup ride, and it can also help us with our relationships going forward. This might yet turn into a very fruitful season of our lives. Join us tonight at 7:30 on Zoom (the passcode is 360582), and let’s study this section of the book of Galatians together! See you there!
May God bless us all.
Your Fellow Minister in Christ,
Mark
