WELCOME PASTOR ELLEN!
ELLEN LaCROIX FILLETTE
New Pastor (as of July 23)
Pastor Ellen was born and raised in central Louisiana. Although she has called many places home over the years, she still has deep roots in Louisiana.
She graduated from Louisiana State University (Go Tigers) with a B.S. in Psychology and Philosophy and a concentration in Religious Studies. While attending LSU, Ellen worked with youth ministries and contemporary worship at Crossroads United Methodist Church, a small church plant in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Ellen worked with this plant during the transition to their first permanent building, and through their charter opening.
Ellen graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2016 with Master of Divinity. During her time in Seminary, Ellen worked with children and youth ministries at Trinity United Methodist Church in McLean, Virginia.
2016-2020 Ellen served as an Associate Pastor at Centreville United Methodist Church. Her focus was in the areas of spiritual formation and contemporary worship.
In 2020 Ellen’s husband Matt accepted a job that relocated them to Frankfurt, Germany. Matt is completing a three-year assignment to the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt. For the past two years Ellen has also been working as an administrator at the Consulate. They have been enjoying the adventure of living abroad and a chance to see the world. But now they are both ready to come home.
Ellen enjoys hiking, cooking, cheering for LSU Football, and volunteering with her trained therapy poodle Toulouse.
